This is one of the most spectacular routes in the world, and certainly rates in the top 10 of the most scenic.
I have never met anyone who did not fall in love with the views from Chapmans Peak. Even on a cloudy day there is much to enjoy and photograph. The Sentinel guarding the entrance to Hout Bay is most imposing from various angles of the lense.
Cape Point is the perfect half-way stop where it is possible to spend a couple of hours taking in the scenery. Boulders Beach Penquins, in Simon's Town, is a hit with young and old!Boyes drive scenery above Kalk Bay provide a great view of seal island and False Bay.Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden is equally spectacular with a vast array of indigenous plants and birdlife. |
